Redeemer is a place to be involved.

Jesus doesn't just call us to believe. He calls us to become. He calls us to love all people. This love happens in all sorts of ways: supportive community, food support, health encouragement, multicultural outreach, and more.

Below you will find some of the ministries at Redeemer, both ministries that take place in our congregation and external ministries we support.

Faith Community Nurse

Faith Community Nursing is an international organization started by Granger Westberg in 1970, (previously known as Parish Nursing) and was established at Redeemer in 2008.

Faith Community nursing is the specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the intentional care of the spirit as well as the promotion of holistic health and prevention or minimization of illness within a faith community.

The MomCo - The Mom Community

The Mom Community (The MomCo)

Our rally cry is to raise moms to new heights, arm in arm, side by side. We are on a mission to call moms to elevate themselves and motherhood and, ultimately, help them to find freedom in Jesus.

When: We meet every 3rd Saturday from 9-11 am.
Who: All moms, no matter your stage in motherhood.
What to Expect: Drop off your small children with our experienced "grandmas" who cover The KidCo just across the hall, then settle in with provided fresh breakfast and hot coffee as we dig into a selected motherhood topic video with discussion and short devotional.

Redeemer Community Garden

Established in 2010, our garden operates in partnership with the Marion-Polk Food Share Community Garden Program to provide garden space for approximately 20 households. We connect people in our community through the joy of growing fresh nutritious food for their families.

Lutheran Latino Ministries

Lutheran Latino Ministries (LLM) is a Recognized Service Organization of the LCMS that helps congregations in the Northwest District to make disciples with and among the Latino people in their neighborhood. Marta Luna, LLM's called and commissioned Missionary Deaconess, works in partnership with Redeemer Lutheran Church. For additional information contact Deaconess Marta, Merryann Randall or email Pam Bridgehouse. For more information, email: lutheranlatinoministries@gmail.com

Marion-Polk Food Share

We collect weekly donations of food for pick-up by the Marion-Polk Food Share. These collections support food pantries and meal sites throughout Marion and Polk counties.

Dental Van

DENTAL VAN VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE CARE AT REDEEMER

Redeemer partners with Peace Lutheran in West Salem to host a dental van each month to provide needed dental care.  See a recent Statesman Journal article about Medical Teams International founder Ron Post of Dallas, OR.

Missions Door

We provide support to Missions Door, a local ministry of Campus Ambassadors led by Garrett and Jessica Berk. Their mission is to create diverse communities of Christ-followers on local college campuses in our area. They seek to train and create disciples, and create opportunities for evangelism and Kingdom Service, in coordination with the local church.

Hope Pregnancy Clinic

We participate in the annual Baby Bottles for Hope fundraising campaign by the Hope Pregnancy Clinic. At Hope, they value both mother and baby, knowing that when they provide the help and support that the mother needs, she is able to make a choice for life.

Habitat for Humanity

We participate in the annual Hope Builders' Breakfast fundraising campaign for Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley. We have volunteered at numerous home builds in the Salem area.
