Nobody brags about stealing. Nobody brags about lying. But "I've been so busy lately" gets said with a little pride, and we all nod along.
The command is rest. And it turns out we have almost no idea what to do with it.
Somewhere along the way, rest became something we apologize for. We treat it as time we have to justify, a break we have to earn, or a luxury for people with lighter schedules than ours.
Scripture treats it differently. Rest shows up as a command, which is strange enough. But it also shows up as a gift, which is stranger still. The July issue of Spirit Call sits with that tension: what rest actually is, why God insists on it, and grace for those whose lives don't allow much of it right now.

Grace is not primarily a feeling. It is a posture, a way of moving through the world that flows from what Christ has done for you. When rightly received, it sets a hook in your soul that keeps pulling you toward people, even when everything in you would rather pull away.
This issue asks what that actually looks like in real life.
